No,the Spanish financed the trip that 'discovered' America..........of course if you think that Columbus got there before Amerigo Vespucci (sp?) for which the country is actaully named after.........

Yeah, it was Leif Garrett that discovered America, right? Or was he just made for dancing?

It's all a moot point really... Native Americans were here first, then the Vikings visited before any of that happened.... And by the way, Amerigo Vespucci didn't come over here - he was a cartographer who realized it wasn't the Indies.....

Just lately in the newspaper they were talking about the Scots/Irish predating the Scandinavians by again some several *thousands* of years. It seems that primitive peoples (in the 15,000 years ago range) were capable of sea travel in bull hide boats. Some people are now touting a different thought about the populating of the American continent rather than the older Bering Strait Landbridge theory. cool-

No, the Indians are from India. The Native Americans were here and they had several different languages.

Back Then , Israel didn't exist. jews were spread all over the world (mainly europe : see 6 million pepole slaguhtered in war)

you got it all wrong, pal . believe me that almost all the citizens of israel are grateful for everything america has done for us (except the religious dudes - they're thank only god when a miracle happens , and america certainly did miracles and still does for Israel)

but still , you can't ignore the fact , that america did nothing to help the jews who were murdered in the camps.

I spit on their graves, and by the way I DID see neonazis in my life I wish I could have killed them.

Where they waited in line to be shot, apparently, without any resistance other than one celebrated but militarily insignificant ghetto.

Such as being entirely pro-Jewish at the expense of her own interests.

help the jews who were

Why should we care? Everyone who has _ever_ housed the Jews has ended up hating them. Your 'god' made you an annoying race of liars!

Why can't you just have the balls to finish with the Germans what you started?

Same way I'd pop you in the ovens without a second thought to clean up the planet. And add some Christians to the mix!

So, essentially, you don't know much about WWII at all then- The 6 million people was unfortunate. It was notable primarily because we don't expect that kind of performance by Germans. When the Chinese did it, it wasn't much noted, certainly the Russians killed a bunch more, but that was not a religious war (except as atheists killed Christians), the Africans seem to whack a lot of one another, but that is more tribal and you expect tribes to fight. If you're talking about homicidal rages against a particular group, though- that Cultural Revolution in China must have been a booger. I don't know how many were killed in South Africa, but since they are military trading partners with you guys, you might have more intimate access to that information. Where were the Israelies on the questions of apartheid- you know, the SA one, not the Israeli one.

It's part of our general religion- you'll remember that we did it in the Crusades too. We are commanded, not invited, to love the Jews and to love Jerusalem (my buddy Snivekram will have the cite I would think). There are a lot of things that we could be doing besides helping you guys- we've got our own deserts.

Bullshit. It took _years_ for the information to come out- hell, the Jews didn't believe it for a long while. Nobody could conceive that a rational people, as the Germans, could be murdering people in a factory. We, the American people, mobilized every aspect of the nation to go fight in Europe (again. I had folks in the First WW too)- some of the biggest objectives of the post war period were to patriate stateless Jews, help them with supplies and expertise, secure their nation and mourn their dead with them.

You could have. It's all in what you want to risk. We risked everything in a holy cause- you want to spit on a dead man. go figure.

That's right - we should mention that, besides being a really good idea, the Holocaust was the smallest genocide of the war.
