ok, here it is...i am experiencing *irritation* around the top of my almost-4-year-old tongue piercing...i have a 3/4' barbell in now, and i was wondering if putting in a longer barbell would help relieve the irritation...it's either gonna be that or i'm taking it out and getting it repierced...*but* the thought of piercing through scar tissue on my tongue doesn't exactly give me thrills of delight...any input would be greatly appreciated! lengthening the post is probably not the best solution, especially if you hate the dentist. Consider other alternatives:

1) Inspect the jewlery for damage or plaque build-up

try getting a piece of jewelry that fits your tongue appropriately. bigger and longer may certainly be delish when it comes to many things, but with barbells in tongues, it really isnt. maybe even slip in a 12g, it probably will feel so much more secure.

east coast? nah... west coast? nah... north coast? ah yeahhh wm bwp

ok, here's the dilemma: i have a four-year-old tongue piercing that has recently developed some irritation around the top (right around the ball) i currently have a 3/4' barbell in, and i was wondering if i upsized the barbell, that would relieve the irritation. i don't want to stretch it, i'm happy with the gauge, but want to rid myself of this pesky irriation. any similar experiences? insight? tia email or post here... calico13
