Is there some kind of symbolism associated with tatooing and body peircing? Does the placement of a piercing represent something to others? Also, I have noticed the wearing of rings on the thumb and toes. Do these sysmbolize anything? If so, could someone enlighten me. If not, then what does it all mean??

Of course tattoos represent something. What that is depends on the design and the person.
Only what others want to interpret it as meaning.
