cool x-rays

I went to a new dentist today, and had the full set of x-rays, including the panoramic (which I don't recall ever having before). They didn't make me take my jewelry out (well, she did say to take out 'at least that big one', referring to my 8 ga conch ring, and she would have preferred I take the anti-tragus out but I said it was too new). So, I ended up with this rad-looking x-ray that shows rook/tragus/anti-tragus, dalix, double nostril and tongue BB. I don't know how often they do these full-head x-rays, but I'm going to ask if I can keep this one after the next time they do one. (at which time, I'll scan it for my page)

oh, and both the dentist and the hygenist were super-cool about the tongue pierce. The hygenist commented that her sister had just gotten one, and the dentist laughed about the first time she saw a tongue bar on an x-ray. Whee! I've found a good DDS!

I have a pretty nifty x-ray of my husbands implant (our vet friend did it) I will put it on my new and improved websight (maybe in about 6 months when i figure out how to use the program)

A quick plug for the printing business: if you have a doctor that refuses to make you a copy of your x-rays, sign them out for about an hour and take them to a large commercial printing plant. The Speedy Print places aren't good for this. We large commercial printers have a material called duplicating film, which does exactly what it sounds like. A dupe of a 16x20 X-ray shouldn't cost you more than fifteen or twenty dollars.

I managed to get a copy of my dental panoramic... my 00g tunnel looked really neat in x-ray form. but my septum ring was crooked when it was taken... and nothing irks me more than crooked septum rings. grr.
