My tragus piercing is being bad, very, very bad. It's rejecting, but i can't get the ring out (i got the ball off the CBR, but can't seem to open the ring up wide enough, and when I try, it bleeds) Since I'm at school and have ZERO means of transportation, my boyfriend is driving down here to take me to a piercer, but I have no clue as to where to go... I'm in Trenton, NJ, which is quite near New Hope, PA, where a kid on my floor got a few piercing, but the moron doesn't know the name of it. I can't make it all the way up to my regular piercer in Hawthorne, NJ, so i don't know what to do....
any help is *greatly* appreciated....

this is not normal procedure but it will work sometimes. get a pair of needle nose pliers stick the point of the pliers into the middle of the ring and open them hard enough and till you bend the ring wider open and can get it out

Amanda, Try this website for the closest place to you: http://www.tattoos.com/yellow/amer.htm If you try the needle nose pliers, MAKE SURE you get a good solid grip. If they slip while you're doing it, it'll really hurt (been there). Try hemostats if you have any. They'll do the trick too. Good luck. Tell us how it turns out.

here's a technique I've used for quick removal get some dental floss, or fishing line thread one piece on each side of the ring (a sewing needle works best, but you can do it by hand, too pull the two sides apart using the thread
good luck!

Go to Infinite, on fourth, 1/2 block s of South St. in Philly. Do not go to New Hope. Period. The piercers there aren't the ones you need to take a problem to.
I am also near trenton, Bordentown, in fact. If you want to discuss this, email me or look me up in the phonebook: Louis Kiesling III, any time. It's not a toll call.

I called them up and just didn't like the vibe i got from the guy there... i'm not judging the shop at all, but the guy on the phone wasn't very nice to me.
Anyway, turns out my mom's just gonna come get me tomorrow (my classes end at 2 and i don't have any on wednesday) so I can go up to Pleasurable Piercings. I like them, they've worked with me a lot, and I trust them.
Thanks to all who gave suggestions so far, I'm just too much of a wimp to inflict the possible pain of getting the ring out on myself, but for some reason, i'm ok with letting someone else do it for me....

Theres nothing good in Pa. Or new jersey.
Except New Hope, circa 1989. That place used to rock.
