Now that's what I call a delurker. I finally got my nostril pierced and now I feel absolutely entitled to tell you!

As I live in Basel (Switzerland) I was quite worried about finding a good studio, but the one that does exist turned out to be quite cool. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, and most of all, very clean, bright and calm. It's called the 'Basel Tattoo & Body Art Studio' (check http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/dholm/ studio.htm for pics.) To make it short, getting my right nostril pierced was sheer horror, but now already, I am thinking of it as nothing but *great*. What made it so horrible was that I bled like a slaughtered pig (sorry but thats just the way it was!). The piercer could hardly believe it, she said she'd never seen anything like it. I'm quite amazed because something like this has never happened to me before. Because of all the blood, the ring popped out again (she was just about inserting it), so she had to get a new one, and I was just sitting there with a huge needle in my nose trying not to pass out. Anyways, I don't know if this has happened to you too - as soon as she'd told me, 'the ring is in', I felt a total flush of happiness. I felt like I'd taken some I-dont-know-what all day long! Actually, I'm already thinking about where to get the next thing done. Oh God. This ring looks so ugly. They said its cleaner and safer in the beginning, but I'm sure I'll get a screw as soon at is has healed off. I've also been thinking about getting a tattoo next year.

*wow*! Now I do know myself what you're all here for. All the best from sleepy Switzerland,

I bled alot too. The piercer kept asking me if I had been drinking or if I was anemic (sp?) Anyways, I love mine too.

I was actually referring to myself (weird logic yeah...)

It's entirely possible, since that page doesn't exist anymore. The RABbit hole is at www.rabbithole.org, I believe. Where did you find that link? Is it still in the Welcome FAQ? If so, I'll *really* have to do that update I've been promising.

I know, silly.

Welcome, Nina! I know exactly what you mean. I just had my navel pierced and just absolutely love it. I've been wondering what my next piercing or tat is going to be. It is very addictive. Good luck and happy healing!

The 'old' link is still in the Welcome FAQ you pointed out to me, yes. That's why I was so amazed it didn't work *g*
