i am looking for a FUNCTIONAL padlock with a ss, niobium or titanium hasp.... found plenty of pretty nonfunctional ones...does Anatometal make them and i can't find them? would you guys consider making them? i know plenty of people out there who would like one....or several...

I am not sure who makes such an item. I know that Toucan in Florida was making them out of gold, and maybe even silver. It would be some time before we could make them.

How big of a padlock do you want? If you're looking for a normal-size padlock and not some miniature one, go to one of those old-fashioned hardware stores and ask for a padlock with removable shackle (the hasp is the thing that's screwed to the door; the shackle is part of the lock), then ask Barry if he could duplicate the shackle in some of that large-gauge wire he's got in his warehouse.

Send some sketches or call me, we've done a couple of padlocks, non-keyed ones of course. It just depends on how functional you want it.

&, of course, everything custom steel creates is gorgeous. i've got the proof about a foot & a half from my computer chair.
