I have looked many sites but what is the smallest gauge you can get an initial noes piercing done in- in a nostril screw.. And how 'visible' is it?? TIA

I'm not lish, but I'll tell you:

20ga is the smallest most manufacturers sell.

Get a small ball (or half-dome, whatever) & paint it with flesh color nail polish and you'll be fine.

uh, you can get it done at 20ga if you want, but from personal experience i wouldn't go any smaller than 16ga in cartilage. i've had problems with 18ga.

if you can't show it at least while it's healing, why bother getting it? it's not worth the agony & stress over 'can it be seen?#!?'

Yup, you beat me - I started reading and posting I believe in late 1993. Soon after my first tattoos (I was a late bloomer >80, and have been working to catch up ever since... )
