piercing/acupressure, puncture

has anyone here ever looked into (or heard of anyone looking into) how placement of piercings might have an affect on the body/mind in a way similar to acupressure or puncture?

that's what i'm talking about..... i think that people might get adverse reactions from piercing in an area that causes something to happen........ duh, that makes sense... Raevyn~

Depending on what you believe in, certain crystals are believed to have certain metaphysical effects. For example, I have a friend who got his madison pierced with a CBR with an amethyst bead.He said this was because he felt that his throat chakra was blocked, and he pierced it to open it up. He chose amethyst as a very powerful stone to aid in his spiritual development. He said that it helped him..until it rejected, that is. Oh well...
