tattoo dream

i thought i'd share my most recent tattoo dream:

i was outside watching some kid on a swingset when i thought to myself, i don't have any sunscreen on my tattoo. i went inside to remedy that and discovered that the reds had turned a fluorescent orange and were sort of glowing like they were inflamed/irritated. i figured it would be ok and the color would calm down and go back to normal as i had only been outside about 10 minutes without the sunscreen. a little while later my tattoo had disappeared entirely but i was still trying to convince myself it would return to normal if i just let it calm down after being in the sun. the tattooless skin was also a bit raised and i was worried i would not be able to get it tattooed over if it didn't reappear.

closer to a nightmare than a dream i guess.

i think part of the dream was triggered by the thread on the 'tattoo branding' where the person had some raised parts of the tattoo. mine has some raised parts too, just not noticeable unless you're up close.

i've had at least one other 'no sunscreen on the tattoo' dream before too.
