% Well, i'm finally getting more piercings...it's been 4 years since my last one % and i've decided to get a few while i have the funds for it. i'm talking to the % piercer and we've decided to evaluate as we go, but what do all of you think % about getting 10 piercings in one day? too much? does quantity slow down the % healing process? the piercings will be both tragus, both nips, and 3 in each % outer labia if that matters...
Yes, I think the healing process will take longer. I'll let the more experienced folks talk about the healing concerns. But even if you -could- heal all of the holes with no problems, I wouldn't do it, because I don't have that much time each day to devote to cleaning piercings. And if you got all of those done, then, twice a day (and anyone can correct me on these), you would have to: -wash hands with your favorite post-piercing healing soap. -using a q-tip and a container of mild soapy water, clean right tragus. Attempt to turn jewelry. Rinse thoroughly. -using a q-tip and a container of mild soapy water, clean left tragus. Attempt to turn jewelry. Rinse thoroughly. -get in shower. -shower. Leave cleaning of genitals and nipples for after shower. If you wash your hair, be careful not to get shampoo on/in your pierces. -Wash nipples gently but thoroughly with your favorite post-piercing soap. Attempt to turn jewelry. -Wash labia with your favorite post-piercing healing soap. Be sparing with soap, and pee afterwards to sluice out soap.
N.B: This is my feeble attempt to summarize the excellent aftercare instructions in the faq at
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/bodyart. Go there for the full scoop. I guess my point is that you'd be spending a lot of time, twice a day, cleaning piercings. And then when some of them got irritated, there would be the salt soaks. If you're in really good physical shape, and your immune system is stellar, and you don't mind spending the time on the aftercare....then you could attempt it. But I would think that the healing time for everything would be greatly increased.
I would ask your piercer what they think about doing all of those at once. I'd also listen to the other responses you get on this forum. Oh, and think about how many parts of your body you don't mind being tender for a while. Remember, you'll have your tragi, nipples, and labia for the rest of your life (well, I hope you do, anyway) to do with as you see
